    Hello all,

I have CS4 installed including Acrobat Pro. I prefer to use Foxit reader as my default for reading PDF files. However, when I change the default program for PDF files to be Foxit, Acrobat changes it back to itself. I am running Windows 7 Pro 32-bit. I have tried using the default programs to change it, but as soon as I change it to Foxit, the default changes back to Adobe. How do I tell Acrobat to stop changing the default program? Thanks.

You'll probably have to look in Acrobat's options/settings.

I don't have Acrobat bloatware on my PC's so can't help you with that.

Thanks for the reply Arie. I have gone through the entire set of Adobe options (at least all the ones I could find) and did not see anything. I would like to think that there would be something similar to IE or Firefox that you can tell the program to check if it is the default program. I have asked this same question on the Adobe forum and didn't even get an answer. I am starting to wonder if it is even possible.....
