problem with start menu "open", "open all users"

    whenevre i open my windows xp start menu, and go to a group in "All Programs ", Audio Programs for example, right click, and select "Open" "Open All Users" "Explore" or "Explore All Users ", nothing happens. no file browser opens, no hard drive activity, nothing. the right click menu just closes down and nothing happens. whats the problem? installed winxp SP1

    When you right-click on a program, try selecting 'properties' to bring up the info on the shortcut. It may be that the target data is wrong. You could also check that there is actually a program in the folder pointed to by the 'target' data - if the program is not there, the system cannot open it!
