Has anyone experienced this and if so, how did you fix it?

This morning I downloaded my mail as usual. Everything appeared normal. Once the download was complete, I was given the usual little envelope in the task bar and was told that there were two new messages. However, these messages were nowhere to be seen.

My ISP informs me that the messages were downloaded so are no longer on the server. It is really a case for Sherlock Holmes - The Case of the Missing Messages.

    Can anyone help?

    Thank you.

Do you have any rules which might have caused the messages to be deleted (look under Tools - Message Rules - Mail)?

    Outlook "eating" messages

Brett, thank you, thank you :)

I found the messages in the "Deleted" file.
I had set rules for messages from a friend who forwards every joke and every bit of nonsense he gets.
Outlook was simply doing what I had asked it to do.

Ah well, I'm blonde, so what can one expect?

    Thanks again.
