I am running Outlook 2007 on my HP [Win 7] Desktop and everything in the inbox is very light gray, not quite as light as when things are grayed out. The mail works fine but it's difficult to tell the new mail from the opened items. I did a system restore going back a month and a half; I also uninstalled and reinstalled Office. Neither of these solved the problem. Does anyone have any thoughts on how to fix this?

    Thank you very much

Goddez, thank you, thank you, thank you. I had to play with it a lot to get it to change color, and right now I'm not sure exactly how I did it because it did not work in the beginning. Black did not work, it was still very light so I tried Navy and that solved the problem. But it did not change colors every time I clicked "Turn on" or whatever the button said, so I'm confused about how I made it work, but at least the problem is solved. Thanks again, it was driving me nuts.

Every time I clicked on Apply, or Change Color or whatever the correct button was I got a dialog box that said something about the "AAWNOTSCANNEDRULE, ARE YOU SURE YOU WANT TO DO THIS? ". I had to click twice in order to get rid of that dialog box, do you know how I could have avoided it?

    Hi again Markala,

I suspect this is lavasoft virus program related. I have not used lavasoft in forever and a day and I am not up to date with options settings and rules. I suggest you post this question in the "general security" forum where other board members, more familiar with the program, can help.

For now, I am glad that your font color problem is cleared up and I was happy to help. Thanks for the update.
