XP Pro Pauses at "Windows is Starting up" screen

For the last few weeks my PC has been pausing for about 30 seconds at the "Windows is starting up" screen. I then get one system beep and it carries on it's merry way. I haven't made any memorable changes to it recently to cause this and once started up it seems fine (although it does take a little longer than it used to before I can start using it). I created a bootlog to see if I could pinpoint what is causing the hold up, but need some help picking out what the problem could be:

Hi Steve, I only have a USB printer plugged in, which has been part of my setup for a few years now so don't think that can be the problem. I do plug an external harddrive in from time to time, but it's never plugged in during startup (nor any other USB drives).

Click Start\All Programs and hover over the "Startup" folder.

How many programs are listed there?

Click on Start\Run and type in "msconfig" (without the quotes) and click OK. Go to the Startup tab and click it.

How many and what type of programs are listed there?

When was the last time you cleaned out all the cache, trash, cookies, temp files, etc.? When was the last time you did a defrag?

 

Hi, no programmes in Startup folder, no unnecessary programmes in msconfig and I use CCleaner to clear out unwanted files every couple of days or so. I ran defrag but no change. I assume that the problem wasn't listed in the bootlog file I posted above, so what else would cause my PC to pause during startup?
