    Apparently I do not have system restore which was found out through a malware issue which was resolved on this forum xD.

    After my virus/malware problem was finished, Broni advised me to come here and ask how to update Vista since my windows updater doesn't seem to be working.

    Just was wondering if someone could help me figure out what's going on as Broni thought maybe I didnt have SP2

    Hi AtomicTyson. If you don't have Windows Vista Service Pack 2 installed then I would suggest that you install that update first. Download it from here, Windows Vista Service Pack 2.

    Click Start< Right click on Computer and click Properties. The System Properties window will open showing you what version of Vista you have installed as well as what service pack is installed.

    Ok. So it didn't even say Service Pack 1? Well in that case I would download and install Windows Vista Service Pack 1 from here, Windows Vista Service Pack 1. Once you get SP1 installed then install SP2 from the link in my first post.

    Nope =P.
    So i tried what you said and updating SP1 and then the installation got interrupted and I got this:

    An internal error occurred while installing the service pack.

    Eror code: 0x800B0100. See
    http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkId=101139 for details.

    Ok. Try all of the sugestions in the link that you just posted and see if you can get the service pack to install. Maybe you have a conflict with your security software which is preventing the sevice pack from installing.
