When I boot-up I now get the black screen which asks: Which OS do I want?
bootcfg/rebuild -or- Windows XP Pro. Never did that before? How do I get rid of this "new" OS?

Click START > RUN and type C:\boot.ini and click OK. Copy the script displayed and paste it in your next post so we can see if a simple editing will get you back to normal.

Nothing wrong with that boot.ini file. That assumes that your OS is installed on the first partition of your primary hard drive.

I'd recommend posting your problem in the Malware-Virus Removal forum for their possible insight.

It could be some harmless item in one of your startup areas but it's a good idea to let the experts check it out fully, just in case.
