Resolved laptop keyboard

    hi i am having trouble with my keyboard on my laptop. the laptop had crashed and had to reinstall everything again but my keyboard works fine but for a few keys that aren't where they should be mainly the symbol keys. any help would be greatful.

    Probably set the the wrong region...

    I'm guessing " @ # £ are a few of the symbols giving you problems :)

    You need to set your keyboard to UK not the default USA, what windows version are you using?

    i am using windows xp on the laptop & yes it is that symbols giving the problem.

    Follow this route ....

    Start > Control Panel > Regional & Language .....

    Regional Options tab - set English (United Kingdom) if not already selected.

    Languages tab - Text services and input languages - click on Details button ....

    Deefault input language - English (UK) - if not select from the dropdown list.

    Installed services - probably the US keyboard is listed - click on Add and scroll down to English (UK) highlight > OK

    You can then highlight the US keyboard and click on Remove.

    OK your way out.

    thats it sorted and a big thank you for the help on this as was doing my head in when i was e-mailing.
