I am trying to burn some music. I have WMP version 7.01, completely updated. When I tell it to copy to CD, it says "No CD recording devices found on your system." I can burn stuff to my CD drive all the time. I used NTI CD Maker instead, which worked well enough to make me a drink coaster on the last song, though the first 9 are good.

I only show a tab for portable devices. When I choose to search for media, it doesn't show my DVD drive or my CDRW, even though it will play music from them.

Heck, I'll just upgrade to a newer WMP, didn't know there was a new one really. I tried Winamp years ago and didn't care for it. I know, it's so different now! Creature of habit I guess. I know how to use WMP, and never had trouble burning CDs with it before.

Funny you should ask, I've had SP3 on the computer from the day before it was released, and finally installed it this morning.
I only tried going through WMP update, maybe I should go to the Microsoft site and find WMP 8. No! I'll try download.com. That's much better than Mr. Bates, oops, Gates' site!

"Currently, it is impossible to download the Media Player. However, Microsoft has released the Windows Media Player 8 Encoding Utility which may be downloaded from the link below. "

Yeah, that's what Kazaa is for :D I might do that later. If nobody else has any suggestions.
