Some programs only open when run as admin

    I installed Windows 7 Ultimate yesterday. I spent quite a number of hours to re-install programmes!

    Now that I try to organize everything, a lot of programs do not want to open when I press open, it will only open if I run it as the administrator.

    This is my home PC, I did not set a log on, and I am the administrator!

    Is there a setting that I can change?

    Try going directly to the .exe application folder on your machine, right click, and 'Run as administrator'. After it has run once using this direct start method, it should start OK from the programme listing or a desktop icon.
