My son recently introduced me to Firefox and I love it, but sometimes when I go to my home page from the desktop, there are no graphics on my Yahoo page. All of the text is there, but I cannot do anything from the page. My Yahoo mail will not even open up. I tried downloading the latest version and restarting the computer, but I have had no luck. Any ideas about how to fix this?

Which version of Firefox? I test My Yahoo as a homepage in the latest stable version, i.e. 3.6.3, and an experimental 3.7 alpha4. Both showed pictures, fine, but the latter froze when I tried to login. 3.6.3 was fine, and I was able to see my mail, and select My Yahoo as my homepage. I closed Firefox, and reopened it. The weather was that of a neighboring town, not Omaha, NE, where I live. When I entered the zip code, I was given the choice between Omaha, and Mannheim, Germany. Very interesting to see this, but I did not pursued it. Now, I have my mail, my Yahoo, with the correct local weather, and I see all images, and the links work.
Yahoo is one of those Microsoft-centric sites, which may not work well in Firefox, but it works great for me. Of course, if your problem is not constant, I would not know, since I test Yahoo as home page, only, twice.

I downloaded the latest version of Firefox yesterday to try to correct the problem. Yahoo has always worked fine with Firefox, until yesterday. It is just a little bit frustrating trying to get my computer to work like it did.

You are, still, not giving enough info. I will try again, based on what you said. You said that you downloaded the latest version. Unless you are using the common expression of "download ", to mean, also to install. It mean nothing. There is no change on a download, but only on install. What does it say in Help|About Firefox? If you installed the latest version, it should say, Firefox 3.6.3. Which version did you have before, and what did you do to go from the old to the new? Remember that the program, i.e. Firefox has to be matched by the Profile, which is located in an entirely different folder. You say that you are having problems with your Home page, i.e. Yahoo. How is your Firefox doing with other websites? Unless you made a drastic change, and install one version on top of another, you should have no problem.
My Yahoo works fine with my Firefox 3.6.3. But, without any basic information, I cannot guess what is your problem. I would, and with no good reason, since I know nothing about your system:1. Try another website, and select it as Home Page ( Tools|Options|Main|startup section.)
    2. Uninstall your Firefox from Control Panel|Add/Remove. Then reinstall it from you downloaded file (.exe). Your profile will not be affected, and it will be picked up by the new installation.

There is a known bug in Firefox & SeaMonkey which makes loading difficult in some pages. I find particularly in my 'My Yahoo!' page. The same bug doesn't affect K-Meleon (or other non-Gecko engined browsers apparently).

. It may be known, but I don't see any mention of "My Yahoo ". I, never, experienced the issue, although something like that showed up Flock2.5.6, which is related to Firefox3.0.16. When I tried my Yahoo, it opened correctly, but when I selected Mail, it offered me to download IE8.
After trying repeatedly I saw a small print line, beneath the IE8 suggestion, which was a link allowing me to use Flock for My Yahoo. Typical of a program which prefers Microsoft software. But, they have options, at least.

Oh OK. It was just a thought. It was annoying for me as the first thing I do when my computer has booted is go to my My Yahoo! page as I can check my Gmail from there as well. I was told that the bug responsible was the one I posted earlier & it will be fixed eventually. I thought it might be related to your problem. I just use Opera as my default browser now. It has solved the problem.
