    Hi All,
I have purchased some new speakers and the problem is that I can only get sound from two of them and the woofer. I have done a speaker test

    http://logitech-en-emea.custhelp.co...oduct_id=211&tabs=1,3,2,5&p_search_text=X 530

And they are working fine, but thats only when I plug 1 Jack in at a time. I have a Crystal Sound Fusion Sound Card CS4281 WDM Audio.

I have also been on the Logitech Help Forum but there seems to be alot of people having the same problem and no solutions. Also I have changed the setting in the control panel> Audio to 5.1.

    Tia

Investigate getting updated drivers for the sound card. Was the sound card supplied by the computer manufacturer (like Dell or HP. etc)? You could find updates at their website, although Windows Updates appears to supply one
Error message when you try to upgrade a Crystal SoundFusion CS4281 WDM Audio driver in Windows Vista: "This device cannot find enough free resources that it can use ". Check your Windows Updates Optional updates if you don't have Vista.

There is one here (it is old though):
    http://downloads.cnet.co.uk/0,39100210,39407281s,00.htm

Check in the settings that analog, not digital speakers are selected.

Check that the speakers are not set as headphones.

If you can't get any further (although it is probably drivers or settings) you might want to take the speakers to another 5.1 channel audio computer and try them on that or see if someone can lend you their speakers to test on your computer. That might isolate it somewhat.

    If this helps

    Hi mattman,
I bought a new 6 channel sound card yesterday and set it up for the 5.1, which worked, but one speaker port on the sub-woofer is not working and when I play music it makes a Brrrrrr noise at certain times in the music. So I am off to Curry's and exchange them today for another make as there seems to be alot of people having trouble with this type of system.

    Thanks for the advice

If you have onboard audio and an add-in card, be sure to go into the BIOS/startup configuration settings and disable the onboard controller, otherwise you could get resource conflicts. Also uninstall any software for old audio in Add or Remove Programs.

    Hi mattman,
I swaped the speakers for another brand and when i'm playing a cd, the speakers are making a Trrrrrrrr (roll your tongue) sound at different points through the track. The speakers I have now are 2.1 with a single stereo jack.
    any ideas
    cheers

ps am not sure how to disable the onboard audio in the bios. I'm running win xp pro
sp3 with a x86. When I go into the bios I cannot find audio.
