    hello , I am new here .
I am a photofinisher , and am having a problem with a device that keeps losing it's connection to the correct com port [ a densitometer used for my paper set-up ] . I just purchased a new one from the supplier , and it is doing exactly the same problem as the one it replaces , it loses the connection . The tech that sent it to me said I should reinstall windows . My questions are : will this correct the problem ? and how can I backup Photoshop cs4 with all my plugins , without losing the data ? I do have a 500 gig external drive available - but no special backup software ? Any help would be very welcome . Jim in Toronto

    Hi Jim,
    Welcome to BBS
Some hard drive manufacturers have free software that allows for backing up your drive, Seagate in particular uses a toned down version of Acronis true image, I would contact Adobe inregards to backing up all the data for CS4, they will be able to guide you in the right direction

    regards Jac
