Anyone know how to disable the annoying splash screen in Thunderbird. It is the 2.0.0.24 series not the new 3.0 series (I removed that and went back to the older version) and forgot how I did it long ago.
    Thanks

Just guessing but try Tools>Options>General and uncheck "Thunderbird Start Page" I use 3.0.4 but I think it is still the same.

There's a nice AddOn for TB called FolderPane Tools. With it you can select which folder to start in when TB is started. TB by default opens with the start page. I use this AddOn so when I start TB it opens to my Inbox.

HI Tony, if you uncheck "Smart" and check "All" under View on the menu it will also start up in the Inbox folder or for that matter the last folder you happened to be in when you shut down TB.

TB won't ever start in Inbox unless it was the last folder opened when closing the program.

I guess I worded that wrong:eek:, you are right. With "All" checked it will start in whatever folder it was last closed in.:)
