Works 97 database in Office XP

    I have a database created with Works 97 ; I now have a new computer with Office XP; ; is there
    some way to convert the database file?

    I just tried it; Excel doesn't recognize the file.

    While following a suggestion from another newsgroup to try a mailmerge format in Word (didn't work), I stumbled across the "csv" formatting process.


    I saved my Works 97 database in csv format and then was able to open it in Excel XP without problem. Then I saved it in xls format, and I'm home free.
