Problem downloading exe file

    Problem downloading free Norton AV from Comcast while in VM Ware 3 which has my win xp pro on my Mac system. Used updated IE to download and get message that the file is not a valid win 32.exe. I have uninstalled McAfee as instructed but no luck. Any ideas?

    Wild guess here...Download via Mac and copy it to the VM then try the install.

    Thanks for your reply but the free Symantic program Comcast offers its customers uses a different browser for each program. I using Win XP on my MAC with VM Ware 3 and it requires a download using IE which is not available on the MAC OS. I downloaded it easily to the MAC using Safari but not a valid win xp.exe comes up when I try to download it on VM Ware 3 Win XP
