Windows 7 Professional 2 DVD Set.

    I recently bought the Windows 7 Professional 2 DVD Set (64 and 32 bit) I installed the 64 bit O/S on my i7 PC......Foolishly without thinking I installed the 32 bit O/S on my sons Laptop, I know (2 DVD's but only one licence) anyway his Laptop is displaying the message "This copy of Windows is not genuine "
    When it boots up a pop up box displays "Windows Activation "....The Activation Period Has Expired.......Then..... "Activate Now" or "Ask Me Later "
    So what I have done is ordered another copy of Windows 7 Professional...
    Now for my question.........At the "Activate Now" option can I insert the new keys from the newly bought version ?
    And will everything go back to normal ?
    Or do I have to do a complete re-install.

    On the basis that you can get to Control Panel you can change the key by going to System .....

    At the bottom of that page under Windows Activation there is a link - 'Change Product Key'.
