After being attacked by a virus, I had to reinstall all programs, device sfwr, and browser setups.
I'm starting to get "illegal" op messages with NS 7, which I didn't get before the attack.
Also, I will type in the URL in the location bar and press enter; the screen doesn't move.

I have AV scanning on schedule, no viruses. Is there a repair to NS 7 (like IE?) or should I just re-install?

There is not a repair option in Netscape 7, so you will have to reinstall.

I would on the other hand make very sure that the virus is cleared out completely.

    You keep emphasizing the virus

As far as I'm concerned, it's gone!

Netsc caused an invalid page fault in module MSVCRT.dll -- this is the error message.

I have been to hell & back with Micros***

You have no idea what I've been through this past 24 hours.

I ended up uninstalling Windows 98SE, reverting to Win98, and reinstalling Win98SE and the drivers to my computer; and also NS 7.

I've been to the MS*** website too many times to even want to look at it again.

Where's the competition when you need them?

    Sal_gal,

Have you followed Brooks' advice and reinstalled Netscape 7? If not, I would do a "Clean Install " and create a new Profile.

If you continue to have the MSVCRT error post back.

    I'm okay now

Brooks & all, I'm running okay now. But I had to go through hell & back to get here.
Like I said, had to uninstall Win98Se and reinstall everything like the devices & NS 7.
What a waste of time with this Micros***.
