emails from external mail server

Dear All,

I want to configure my exchange server to download emails from our external mail server
our mail server resides on canada and we are in saudi arabia. I took live IP from our ISP and put this ip entries in CP of our mail server.
after that I install the win2003+exchange 03 in vmware workstation and trying to dowload[send/receive] emails from mail server.
but mail goes queue when I send any email from my internal network and as well not receiving any email from outside.
BUT IN REAL SENERIO WE ARE using the third party software to download the emails in exchange server.

Kindly help me solve this problem. I am trying to solve this problem from last one month.

What type of mail server is in Canada?

i think it is POP email server

 

If you want your exchange server to pull mail from a pop server you will need an application for that called a pop3 connector.
