I operate Windows XP Home and have W.Defender,AVG, Spamfighter and CCleaner programs installed. I opened the Avg ID control panel today in the Advanced view. Under the monitored processes I note there is a file
ijplmsvc.exe . When I highlite the file to reveal path I find it is a Pixma Ext. Survey Services.(I have a Canon Pixma printer.) I don't want to be part of this survey and didn't realise I had it.
Is it a matter of highlighting file and clicking the Quarantine button to be rid of it.
Do I need to check the Control Panel regularly or does AVG alert me.
*The above referred file was showing 2 yellow boxes(Window not visible & Probably survives Reboot.

Control Panel > Administrative Tools > Services > double click the unwanted Pixma service and set to disabled.

If not listed in Services, go to Start > Run > type msconfig > OK button > Startup tab > if unwanted Pixma program listed uncheck it.
