When I boot I want to stop post on a screen. Is there a way to do this?

Try hitting the Pause or Break key when the screen you want comes up, usually top right side of keyboard. You have to be quick tho' as the post screen's process through rapidly. May take several trys to stop at the screen you want.

The above assumes that your keyboard is active during post.

Hi Ron, a couple more suggestions:

Does the pause/break key stop the post at all? It's very tricky, you have to be quick, quick, quick on striking the pause key. A blink of the eye and you're past the screen you want.

If you have a USB or wireless keyboard it may not be loaded at the point you want to stop the post. Try a PS2 keyboard plugged directly into the computer's PS2 port.

Can you get into the BIOS by using the DEL or ESC key? If so it would indicate that the keyboard (USB, wireless or PS2) is loading at POST startup.

Was is it you're wanting to do if and when you pause the screen?

The screen is way off center to the right. When I get the screen adjustment on the screen I can only get a couple of ↓ down arrows before it moves to the next screen.
I am a little annal so I want it centered.

Is it centered once Windows loads up?

If Windows loads up ok...do you think making the adjustment of the post srceen will mess up the windows screen?

Steve I have made several adjustments, I have to be quick, they do not effect whidows once it boots, just the post bios screens get adjusted.

Hit power button - spin chair around for one minute and don't watch the screen;) Or pretend like we're going to charge you 150 bucks for this service call..

OR, keep trying the Pause key. Wouldn't hurt to try SHIFT & Pause Key.
