Go to Start\All Programs\Accessories\System Tools. Right click on System Information\Properties. In the Target box right after \msinfo32.exe add "%1 "(with quotation marks) so it looks like this \msinfo32.exe "%1 then click Apply and OK.

Sorry Steve R Jones, I will get back to you after I have dealt with lj50's response.
To lj50, tried the solution you offered and got a window as follows 'The name C:\ programme files\Common files\microsoft shared\MS info\msinfo32.exe%1 in the target box is not valid, make sure the path and file name are correct' I tried tagging "%1,and I tried "%1 ", and got the same results.

    Code:
     "C:\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\MSInfo\msinfo32.exe" /categories +all
Put that in your target window. Exactly as shown, quotes, spaces, all.

    Copy/paste is easiest.

If the above doesn't work, try the fix from Kelly Theriot. It's a registry file so just download and double click on it and allow it to merge data into the registry.

    There is a space between msinfo32.exe and "%1 "

To lj50, thanks for response, the error detail I have shown is exactly how it came up in the error window, I took it down in detail. I will try again as you described and get back.
