I have a process running called "GBtray ". From trawling round it seems to be something to do with Roxio(?) and is some kind of device to revert back if something goes wrong with the hard drive.
I can't find any programme associated with it, so can someone please tell me what it does.
    Thanks

"The gbtray.exe process provides a system tray icon with which you can access the features of Roxio's GoBack System restoration software. GoBack will allow you to restore a working copy of your system should you install software that causes it to become unstable. If you use GoBack you should leave this process running." (Source)

You can read up on GoBack and what it does on this page.

    Thanks Miz.
I don't have a system try icon for this programme nor do I have Roxio or Norton. Even if something becomes unstable I wouldn't know what to do as there is no programme associated with it. I have no idea how it got on my computer. Do you think it might have been orphaned by some other programme I might have had?
    Thanks

Sorry Miz, I wasted your time. When I saw Gbtray in the process list I googled it and naturally got GoBack tray icon, the one you have referred to.
In fact it's nothing to do with that programme. I have another programme called Game Booster (GB) from Orbit which stops unnecessary processes during game play and whilst it is in game mode it leaves an icon in the tray.
Sorry, I just got confused about the name.
