Resolved System Restore Failed...

    Running WinXP SP3 on a Toshiba Laptop.

    I was doing a system restore and it failed, leaving my system hanging. I was able to reboot it but some of the programs are not running. I can't access system restore as it opens completely blank. I tried to do a search and that too comes up with a blank box so I can't search. I tried entering safemode and system restore still comes up as a blank box. If I can only access system restore to get to another restore point maybe I can correct this. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
