    Is it possible to slipstream XP Home SP1 straight to SP3 or do I need to go
    Sp1->Sp2->Sp3?

    In case it matters it's OEM and the reason I ask is because I'm getting conflicting reports but I trust the guys on here ;).

    Yes you can. I did it quite some time ago with OEM version of Win XP.

    Me too. I did it with an OEM cd from Dell and used AutoStreamer. It was so easy I couldn't believe it. Nice tool.

    You could do it that way, but there is something you need to know. While SP3 contains all the security fixes from SP2, it does not have the performance enhancements that are in SP2. I would recommend slipstreaming SP2 then SP3.

    Thanks for the heads-up Mark. I hadn't noticed any performance issues but the point is well taken.

    I have a CD with SP2 slipstreamed to the original CD (no SP) but opted for a "clean" slipstream of SP3, not to the one with SP2 but to the original CD (no SP).

    I'm a bit ... :confused: ... since the fix to the hard disk size limit in the original version of XP was fixed in SP1 and is still fixed in SP2 and SP3 so ... :eek: ... why isn't the performance enhancements in SP2 "included" in SP3?

    Do you have any specifics of what's missing in a "clean" slipstream of SP3?
