    Hello All!

I noticed a strange behaviour-change in Internet-explorer or windows XP. I'm not sure if the operating system is the culprit or the application.

When drag an internet shortcut from the Internet Explorer address bar to the desktop, it used to take the page's TITLE as name. Recently it started using whatever is first, just behind the domain name, and if nothing is behind, it takes the domain name. This is quite annoying, as all sites which have a http:[[www.domainname/index or /images, now results in a shortcut named index or images. You can imagine that it is hard to keep these apart, and that it often generates the even more annoying message 'already exists'.

Does anyone know what is causing this? Is there a solution except from renaming everything every single time by hand?

    Thx!

PS: I used the [[ in the hyperlink just to indicate that it's not meant to be an actual link.

Sorry, but I gave up using Drag-and-Drop the first few times I used it in Windows 95. I use (Create Shortcut) Copy/Cut and Paste, at least I know for certain where things are going.

You might have a Shell problem.

PS and I cross my fingers if I use Send To :)
