    Hi guys.
I have a PC in my office that has a user that no longer works for me.
My problem is that there is now a different user using the PC but I can't change the name of the folder that was the old user. I've changed the name of the account user ok in control panel.

As you have discovered, changing the user account name is only cosmetic. It changes nothing back in the file structure.

To get the name change throughout you'll need to set up a new user account with whatever name is preferred, then copy the files over from the old account.

Instructions on how to do that are in the Microsoft Knowledge Base article, How to copy data from a corrupted user profile to a new profile in Windows XP. I realize the old account isn't corrupted but the process is the same.
