Problems sending email from outlook 2003 when using MSN account.

    I am trying to help a friend that has a MSN.com email account. He can receive the emails into outlook 2003 but can not send the email. The error that comes up says to check the username / password. He is using the same password that he uses to log into his MSN mail on the web but it will not work for sending.

    What is his/her default e-mail ?

    To find it - Start -> Settings -> Control Panel Open Add / Remove Programs.
    On the left bottom there is a Set Programs Access and Default.
    Open this up.
    Click on Custom.
    Then Look under Default E-mail Program.
