I have purchased a new hp Laptop this past weekend and I installed Microsoft 2007 the other night and so far all of the other programs are working great BUT I can not get Outlook 2007 to work. I keep telling me that "the connection to Microsoft exchange is unavailable. Outlook must be online or connected to complete this action.
I have the laptop running on the wireless system in the house and I can get on line so I do not understand on what it means I am not connected and why will it not let me in. When I click the error button it shuts the program down.

    Welcome to WindowsBBS;)

Are you running or trying to connect to an Exchange Server which is normally something a home user wouldn't be doing...

I think you'll have to uninstall and reinstall OUTLOOK. You should see an option early on about what "type" of connection to make.

You should be able to change things via Tools > Accounts. If your account you setup is listed (Exchange account), delete it and create a new account using POP & SMTP.

If you can't get into Outlook to do what Tony mentioned - go to Control Panel-> MAIL icon.
