copy: hdd1 to hdd2

I have problem,


I need doing COPY:

source: [hdd1]: 80GB IDE harddisk data, over 10years. maybe bad-sectors.
destination: [hdd2]: new 250GB SATA harddisk.


I think, HDD1 via windows deleted files, in normal use file recovery software to recover and restore files.

but I need HDD2 doing this case! possible is used IMAGE/RAW copy ?


(Q1): how to doing IMAGE/RAW copy from hdd1 to hdd2?

(Q2): if HDD1 found bad-secotrs, after finish COPY, HDD2 same bad-sectors?

But which [backup HDD image] start/run without Windows XP.
only DOS mode.

and [source] HDD1 found bad-sector(s), that [backup HDD image] about/ try again.

status: BIOS can auto-detect, C:> dir, can result <DIR>, scandisk confirm was bad-sector.

destination: [hdd2]: new 250GB SATA harddisk.
