Chrome refuses to load pages.

Hey folks!

So I'm having a problem with Google Chrome that just started completely out of the blue. It won't load pages, and instead gives me:

Error 102 (net::ERR_CONNECTION_REFUSED): Unknown error.

I'd think that my internet is just ****ed, but Firefox is working just fine. It's only Chrome. I've tried reinstalling it and clearing the cache, both with no results.

I've been poking around a bit and I've found that this sort of thing can happen because of firewall ****, but I don't think that's it here. None of my firewall settings have changed at all, and it was working just fine before.

Any ideas?

I already have, I'm sorry to say. The steps it provides don't allow for any sort of intermediate troubleshooting, it's all just basic. Let me run through it with you:

1) I don't think it's any sort of malware. Firefox works just fine. Why target just Chrome? My computer appears normal.
2) Already tried clearing the cookies, the cache, and even reinstalling the browser.
3) Why would my antivirus or firewall start messing with Chrome NOW? It's been working fine before this. Why would that change?
4) I'm not using any sort of proxy.

I actually don't even have a software firewall at all, actually.
