Hi, I have problem with the way Microsoft Word Document is showing on my desktop. They appear clear white instead of the normal view. I tried to change them by clicking on the word document icon, and going to properties, but it didn't help. Any help please. Thanks:)

Hi and welcome to the BBS,

I am not sure if I can help you. Can you tell us any more details? What happened when you right-clicked on the icon and went to Properties. It should say what type of file it is, .doc or .docx. If it is .docx, that is an MS Office 2007 file. Does it list a program for "Opens with... "?

When you right click on a blank area on Desktop and select New > Office Word document
What does the icon look like then?

Hi. Thanks for your reply. Like I stated before, Microsoft Word Document icon look white. I have no problem opening the document, the only thing is I would like to change them to their normal view. I'm not sure if I unistall and re-install Microsoft Office 2007 will solve the problem. The properties of word document is different than the properties of a regular file on your desktop. With regular (file) when you right click on the file and select properties, you can change the way the file look by clicking on customize, but with word document I dont see this feature. Like I state above I'm not sure if I unistall and re-install Microsoft Office 2007 will solve the problem. Thanks again.

Try right clicking on the desktop in the context menu click refresh. See if this helps.

I know the above must seem silly, but did you try that?
I'm trying to see if the new document is different to your other saved documents.
