Seagate Hard Drive Secruity Screws

    What are the secturity ***** sizes for the ST3320820U2-RK so i can take the outer case apart and hook up the hard drive to my computer with the sata cable because the usb/firewire isnt working now.

    It's just a standard SATA 3.5" hard drive put in an enclosure
    I think yours is 320Gig and it was first made in May 2007

    Just unscrew it and use any Hard drive bolt (I can't say scr.w, as the forum has stopped that word it seems)
    Just the same as the ones in your desktop hard drive at the moment
    Did you want the specs of them? Just remove one yourself and look at it (they're pretty small, usually silver color, that will do :D)

    they are 6mm and 15 mm long but i like the 25 mm ones better longer than short.

    I've had another read through the thread
    Are you asking about the 5 point TORX Security Plus screws that are in your external drive?
    These require a T10 (or TP10) Standard Torx Screwdriver

    HERE is a larger pic at the screwdriver Bit end.
    Although a flathead screwdriver can also remove them.
    Note: I wouldn't re-use these in the Desktop

    cool thanks and i wasnt taking about hte ones in my hard drive its the plastic case that you plug the firewall and power button but i needed to know that so i can get it from my friend

    As you now know how to remove the screws and install it inside your computer.

    im not trying to remove the screws in my computer im trying to take apart my exteranl hard drive that isnt to open up to get to the disc i want to open up my hard drive to connet to my computer i need to know the screws that are in my hard drives encloursers
