windows 7 hangs on applying your personal setting configuring your home network
    -------------------------------------------------------------------------
It is a fresh install and I was able to run widows xp and windows 7 beta on it.
I just performed a clean install on my computer which was running Windows 7 beta and after the computer reboots it asks for the username, password, product key and type of network (Home network, private network, public network). I choose home network and it started configuring home network and it keeps configuring and never gets out of it.

    thanks in advance.

Try restarting but this time select public network, you can then use the Network and Sharing Center, to setup a Homegoup, Home Network
