Resolved Cannot Install MS Office 2010 Beta

I first failed to install MSO210Beta, a warning informing me that a previous Office version was corrupted. Cleaned that issue up via the control panel/add-remove programs/repair. Still cannot install the Beta. I don't want uninstall previously installed software unless it is necessary. What would u suggest?

 

It is necessary to uninstall any present Office install before trying to Install Office2010 Beta

Therefore,

• Uninstall your old Office, fully
• Download, install, and then run the Windows Installer CleanUp utility to remove the Windows Installer registry settings that are associated with your old Office installation
• Download and run CCleaner to remove all temp files
• Restart

Then try installing Office 2010 again

I am still not sure why but, making a second attempt at installing the beta worked and the program is installed and working fine, now. I'll save this communication for future referrence. Thank you.
