In the latest TB the message count is gone. I thought I had asked this before but can't find where.

I think there was an add-on you could install to get this feature back.

Does anyone know anything about this issue?

    Thanks.

No, it used to be a column beside each folder. It indicated how many messages were in the Inbox, Sent, Trash, etc.

I thought I had asked that question very recently and thought it was here. Must have been the Mozilla site.

    Thanks.

You must be talking about TB3.x. Indeed there were no numbers, since I started testing it, and none now. May be you should check this addon.
I can't remember if it did the job, but I do have , between the All Folders line, and the list of accounts, an additional line with size, and a widget on the far right of this line to control the numbers, i.e. Total, Size (and unread, if you care about it). I am using v.0.4. Is it it?

I just did get a lead from the Mozilla forum. And the one you gave me is the same as theirs and just what I needed.

    Thanks.

Maybe that's why they did away with the columns. Now you just click on the folder and the unread count and the total count is given in the status bar.

    Bill,

Duh!!Now I understand what you meant in your first message. I'm rather slow.

So I just checked and see exactly what you meant. I never realized it was there. But I still like the option I got with the add-on.

Any other tricks I've overlooked. <G>

With eight active accounts, the old way is much better, since I can see everything at a glance. The new way is no more practical than having tabs. Perhaps, I will get used to this, but I can't see why I should bother. The past was good, and 3.x is a nuisance.
