    Hi Everyone
Sorry if this is in wrong place, wasn't sure where to post it.
Just got my daughter's Laptop back from being fixed which broke just after 3wks old :) It was showing an error code to say Hard drive failure so after a nightmare hour n half on the phone with Dell they took it away to get fixed.
But my problem is since it's came back when writing a message it will jump right back into the middle off a sentence and start typing there, any idea's what's happening ?

    Thanks in advance

3 weeks old I would return the laptop and demand a new replacement.

It's a jumpy cursor which can be responding to typing vibrations or unseen contact with the tracking surface. Return for replacement as suggested. Also here is a link to Dell Community forum touchpad repair help:

From Dixons Web site (Terms linked at page footer)
Get legal proof you contacted them within the allotted time period.

Following on from Tony's post, under UK law your contract is with Dixons not Dell. Politely demand that they deal with the issue.
