    Hi every one,
I was having trouble with my pc shut down, it was taking some 5 mins just to actually bring the shutdown, cancel etc to come up. So a mate of mine suggested a registry fix. I purchased Uniblu and ran the scan and it came up with the following:
.System Related Errors: 453, High Damage Level
.User Related Errors: 318, High Damage Level

After I fixed these errors now my Avast & Malwarebytes are no longer on the bottom right of my screen. Could the reg fix have buggered them up. Malwarebytes says that it is running when i click on it, but Avast only lets me do scans and I am not sure if I am protected with my AV. Any suggestions would be good.

    thanx

Ps what actually causes registry errors?

It would appear that you have experienced the downside of using registry cleaners which we would never recommend the use of. At best they will do nothing, at worst they will render your computer unbootable.

I do hope that the cleaner you used gave to option to backup changes - if so I would revert back to your pre-cleanup situation and address your shutdown problem in a new thread in the appropriate OS forum.

Ps what actually causes registry errors? -> Besides users running fixes they probably shouldn't run there are many things..

Doing a system restore would be a good idea.
    Which OS are you using?

    Hi Steve,
I am running win xp home. When Uniblue was running it stated that it was making a back-up of my reg, could I go back to my original? But would all these errors cause me any problems?
