    Hi folks,

    Windows Server 2008 64 bit - guest (VM)
    Fedora 12 64 bit - host
    Virtualization software - KVM
    Internet Explorer

    I tried to download drivers on;
    http://uk.asus.com/product.aspx?P_ID=cf8IZzbU4m6GHKnW&content=download

    However it popup only a blank page with only ASUS logo on it.

    This is the first time running IE after installation completed. Is it the security setting too high to block this page. However there is nothing abnormal on browsing other sites such as yahoo, google etc. Please advise how to fix the problem. TIA

    Yes. And what is more easy then to respond to IE's prompts and add http://*.asus.com to the Trusted sites zone? When I do that, I can enter the site.

    Please re-read the question. Vista doesn't have IE running in Enhanced Security Configuration, so you don't have the same environment.

    Hi Arie,

    Thanks for your advice.

    It is not a happy solution. I came across following case in onsite product registration.

    Trust sites
    http://*samsung.com

    It was not easy for me to find the "onsite registration" page

    The link of the page I need to visit;
    http://www.samsung.com/hk/warranty

    I tried adding it to Trust sites without success. I have to add 's' after 'http';
    https://www.samsung.com/hk/warranty

    Restarted IE

    (Is there a "reload" function avoiding restarting IE? For such a doing I have to close many sites ")

    Still I can't get that page instead a warning;
    There is a problem with this website's security certificate.

    "Continue to this website (not recommend)" did not work popup "Service Unavailable "

    "More information" didn't help.

    It is quite funny to me. Firefox, Opera, etc. don't have this problem.

    A side question:
    Which software shall I run other than VBScript, PowerShell and Cygwin to capture system information. DOS command is very limited to be run on "Command Prompt "? TIA

    When adding sites which are http and not https to the Trusted Sites list you must uncheck 'Require server verification (https) ....'

    You can Refresh any page or tab by hitting the Refresh button (two curved arrows at the end of the Address Bar) or close the tab, hit the New Tab button at the end of the open tabs and start over with your URL.

    You might try a Reset of IE - Tools > Internet Options > Advanced - Reset.

    Doh! You can't just change http:// to https:// and expect no error message. Samsung doesn't have a security cert (they don't expect you to use https). If you would do the same in Firefox you'll get the same error.

    You know what you should do? Switch off IE's Enhanced Security Configuration. You seem to be using other browsers on this system which do not have this enhanced protection anyway.
