As usual I am a little slow.

I clicked on Tools\Web Search and nothing happened.

To tell the truth i never noticed the option before so it must not be something that would be useful to me.

I tried checking on the Mozilla site, but couldn't find any info.

    Thanks.

I have the address bar and then a search box for the search engines I have. Clicking on the Web Search just puts the cursor in the search box for you.

It takes one click to put the cursor there and it takes one click to put the cursor directly into the box. A real time saver?

Tools|Web search is totally useless. If there is something in the Search bar, nothing happens. If there is, only, the grayed out name of the Search bar will be disappear, and will be replaced by an active cursor.
    Wow!

To be fair, it does serve as a reminder of a keyboard shortcut. ;)

You're right. Maybe others find a use for it.

Ah...but nothing is more useless than that toolbar "flexible space" and "space ". I have yet to find a single use for those options.

Rt click the toolar area and select "customize ".
Flexible space and space can be draged+dropped to the toolbar, but wth they are for is beyond me.

Just to point out, if you don't have the search bar on your toolbar then Ctrl->K / Tools->Web Search will take you to a default web search site.
