Just recently the clock has started acting very strangly. First noticed it when the time was wrong so I opened it up and the time is whizzng forward very very fast, getting through an hour in seconds. Quite fun to see the analogue display do it - a bit like an old time travel movie with the clock hands whirring round :D

Haven't installed any apps recently and the only changes to the system are virus updates. I'm loath to reboot at this stage 'cause I'm trying to convert a MV to MPG and it's been going for ages.

Anyone seen a Windows clock accelerate like this before? I can live without it to be honest, more a curiosity really.

ahhh, I do have seti and UD installed. They have behaved in the past but it's certainly possible they're misbehaving now. I'll uninstall them one by one when this video has finished converting.

    cheersn :)

    Also:-

SETI and UD might not be the problem. It could be the conversion of the video file that is playing havoc with the clock. Suggest you reboot and see whether the problem persists prior to unloading either of the above.
