I don't know why or where to it has gone, but in Oulook 2007, under Personal Folders, Search Folders, the 'read' file suddenly went away, and I have no way to get to my already read emails!!! I've looked around to try and find the command to put it back, but to no avail. I know it's something easy, I just cannot find it!!! Help me Outlook ObiWan, you're my only hope...

    I'm running Windows 7 also...

In Outlook, once you've opened an email then closed it, it moves it to a 'read' file... It's not like outlook express, which I miss cuz it was so simple...

I use Outlook 2007 and do not experience that behaviour - any email I read stays in the Inbox and is available to read again in the Reading Pane.

The only reference I can find relating to a Read folder is if you have set up a Message Rule to Mark as Read" and then "Move to a Specific Folder

    Some info ....

Mark messages as read or unread

Check under the View item on Outlook's menu & make sure that Current View > Messages is selected.

In your case it sounds like Current View is set to Unread Messages in This Folder
