which is the same error as the title of your thread.

BTW set the computer so that it does not reboot automatically on system error - then you can see the BSOD error message .....

    KERNEL_DATA_INPAGE_ERROR (7a)
The requested page of kernel data could not be read in. Typically caused by
a bad block in the paging file or disk controller error. Also see
    KERNEL_STACK_INPAGE_ERROR.
If the error status is 0xC000000E, 0xC000009C, 0xC000009D or 0xC0000185,
it means the disk subsystem has experienced a failure.
If the error status is 0xC000009A, then it means the request failed because
a filesystem failed to make forward progress.
    Arguments:
Arg1: c05cfa98, lock type that was held (value 1,2,3, or PTE address)
Arg2: c000000e, error status (normally i/o status code)
Arg3: b9f53642, current process (virtual address for lock type 3, or PTE)
Arg4: 62804860, virtual address that could not be in-paged (or PTE contents if arg1 is a PTE address)

Bearing in mind the following ....
your dump log confirms a disk/controller problem .....
Although Memory Corruption is noted several times this may arise from the disk problem

I think this confirms that the motherboard is faulty.

Thanks.... I enquired about the compatible MB(915G Chipset) in my place and the cost comes to 56US$. Is it worth buying? Anyway im not in a position to buy a new system due to lack of Vitamin M. Can i come to a conclusion that my Processor,RAM,Geforce Card,PSU etc except MB are all fine?

Me, since it relates to the IDE controllers, I would try using the HDD testing utilities (SeaTools for Seagate drives) and if you are happy to wipe all data (and partitions) use Seagate DiscWizard to "rebuild' the drive/s.

Are the drives jumpered correctly? Are the drives set as Master/Slave or CS (Cable Select)?

    Matt
[Edit: Your profile (My System) says that your CD/DVD drive is IDE. Are your HDDs IDE (PATA) or SATA (Seagate 250GB and 120GB)?]

    @mattman
I already mentioned above that i've bought a new HDD after these errors occurred. The drives are in "cable select" mode. Moreover with 2 HDD's i felt that my system speed has dropped drastically. So right now after a fresh install of XP i use only the new HDD.

I've clearly mentioned in my system spec that my HDD drives are of SATA(Serial ATA) type.

You had not replied for a week or so. I replied by going back though from the last reply, but I think my last post is still significant. If the HDD testing utilities can "work" with the drive controllers, they should be OK.

Your system information says that the CD/DVD drive is IDE (PATA). Have you tried changing the jumpers for that drive?

To me, the information seems to say it is a basic problem. Wether that is something "broken" or maybe an incorrect setting, that is what I would like you to (double-) check.

You should be able to disable the IDE controller in the BIOS, try that. If that is the problem, you could get a PCI IDE controller (add-in card) to run your IDE drives.

If the controller is a problem, you could probably get an add-in card to overcome it. It should work out a lot cheaper and easier than getting a new motherboard.

    Matt

Have you tried disabling the IDE controller/s? That will stop the controller drivers from being loaded by Windows.

    Great news...

After fighting with my old system with those errors i finally managed to upgrade my system with new configuration. Sold my Processor+MB+RAM & bought the same new products by paying the difference amount of US$137 (see my system profile).

I've read in some forums that a newly built system also face these errors. Hope it wont turn back on me. Thank u all for being with me all these times.

And also please do answer my Off topic questions below:-
    1) Can i install windows 7 32 bit & 64 bit as a dual boot in my new system.
    2) I've got 2 chassis(cabinet) fans. One in the side & other in the back. I want to know which one should be in-flow & out-flow.

I don't see why not, the real question is why? There is very little 64 bit software available. The real benefit of 64 bit is that you can run > 4 Gb RAM.

Windows 7: Which Edition Should You Choose?

I think you will find 2 Gb of RAM marginal for x64 despite what MS say ....

    Windows 7 system requirements
In at the side - out at the back.

    If you are happy ....

That is a completely different error to the ones you originally posted - are those errors still showing up? Are you still freezing ?

The error message you posted above refers to Harddisk 2 which implies that you have 3 hard drives installed - 0, 1 & 2

Which hard drive has the OS? Which drive are you using - the old one or the new one? Have you run disk diagnostic software on the new drive?

Previously errors were in RED color. The present ones are warning in YELLOW color. My system never froze after the upgrade.

    I've only 2 HDD's & i'm using the OS on my new HDD(250 GB)

Didn't run a disk diagnostic software yet on my new HDD? Is it mandatory? I don't think so.

How the present errors vary from my previous errors? Is it that bad as the previous one?

    Some information please ....

    Start > Run > type in diskmgmt.msc > Enter

When Disk Management opens what are the numbers of the hard drives in the lower left hand column? Which drive no. has the OS installed?
No, not under normal circumstances, but if harddrive 2 has the OS on it I would do so.

OK - you named it Disk 2 - that was the confusion :) Your Physical drives are 0 & 1 which is as expected.

That is your old drive - seems that it may have a fault, but at least your OS is not on that drive.

I would monitor the situation and see how often that error is thrown up - it is not necessarily fatal :)
