[Resolved] 0x7c91b21a error on OASRV program

About once a day my computer will locukup with the following message:

    oasrv.exe - Application error.
The instruction at "0x7c91b21a" referenced memory at "0x00000010 ". The memory could not be "written ".

The only way to restart the computer is via the power button.

The offending program is Online Armore, i ran all the melware removal programs that I have without any luck.

Attached are the files thet DDS program generated.

    Jack.

Whilst I take a closer look at the log, I suggest you decide which AV you wish to keep, then uninstall all the others.
Having more than one AV installed WILL cause conflicts.

    ==

    • Go to Start > Control Panel double-click on the Software icon > add/remove programs.
    • Search in the list for all previous installed versions of Java. (J2SE Runtime Environment.... )
    • Select it and click Remove.
    • Then Download and install the newest version from here:

I removed all the old Java versions and installed the latest Java (Version 6 Update 18).

I am using only one AV program Avira AntiVir, which other programs are AV that conflict with Avira AntiVir.

a-squared is also an AV; http://www.emsisoft.com/en/
Not seeing much else in the log, so maybe a re-install is in order.
Antivir would be my choice to remove in your case.

The a-squared program that I use is the Online Armor Premium, the AV module in this program is not activated but it may iterfer with the Avira AntiVir.

I removed the Avira AntiVir for now to see if this helps.

Which program should I use for AV ?

Ok. I didn't realise one could turn off the different modules. It must be similar to the Comodo suite.
That being the case. I would probably opt for uninstalling online armour, then re-install it and active the AV, firewall and the anti-malware modules together.

The problem is still on, once a day and locking my computer, this started after the last armor program update. I don't know how Online Armor is working but it generate allot of data traffic on my modem when nothing else is runnig.
I stoped Online Armor and installed COMODO, it is running as firewall and AV program and generating zero traffic on my modem when it is running.

    Thank you for your help.
    Jack.

I tried Online Armor myself a while ago and had problems with it hogging my bandwidth. Changed to Comodo and only had one problem since, which was fixed pretty fast.
Am I to understand that the issue is resolved?
