Heres one for the books girls and guys. Has anyone ever had two programs running at the same time or indicated as such on task manager. Hit ctrl/alt/del and each program is indicated twice as running. Hit ctrl/alt/del at a second time and get two task managers if you leave a few seconds between the first and second session. Could there be a cross link between two persons on the machine causing this. Machine is about 5-6 yrs old.

I think you need to be a little more explicit here - it is quite possible to start 2 incidences of some programs - MS Word for example - can you give an example.

If you have 2 User accounts they cannot be used simultaneously so there may be corruption in one of the User accounts. Does this problem arise in one account or another - or both?

As a single user I'm not into the ramifications of multiple user accounts so whether the second account was corrupt or not I cannot say.
