Infection Free Computer Life Possible?

    Hi,

    I know I am only asking this cause having new bout of paranoia. It waxes and it wanes. Has been for years. Today, it is waxing.

    Given, so far I have never had a real infection in any system, and I no way depend on luck---once had a trojan, and my anti virus has also caught and prevented a few things from coming in....is it possible to have a computer life until you die never having had an infection?:confused:

    What percentage of humans never have one? Are there any stats on that????

    I hope it's high, the percentage. Cause that will make me feel seriously better.:eek:

    Hi Jilly. I think its possible to live your whole life without getting your computer infected. You just have to have common sense with browsing the Internet, know all the dangers of Malware and have a good set of Computer Security Tools to help prevent your computer from getting infected with Malware in the first place.

    If you do those things then you will be fine. I personally wouldn't get so paranoid about it.

    Bless you! I DO....well used to, think it's possible! But the more I read threads here re infection.....the more paranoid I get.

    :eek:I know you are right, Tony, but I think I am not ready yet and still being held hostage by MS. Cept for FX, I mean.

    I will get there, tho. Never had an infection so far--also a compounding creep me out factor re the odds.....but does reading the malware messes threads here make my tummy hurt? U bet.

    I will never understand why MS can't write better software after all this time. I will never understand that.:confused:
