By way of widening the definition of "general discusion" and to satisfy a long held culinary ambition can anyone (preferably a military person or a native of Nepal) either give me a recipe for a Ghurka Curry or point me in the right direction.
If anyone thinks this is way too far off topic for BBS, I should point out that I will be eating it whilst using my computer.
    Ayo Ghurkali!:

Thanks Jacrabbit. I've already been to that site and whilst they were ok, they wern't quite what I wanted.
I used to live in Hong Kong and there was a Ghurka mess, in Kam Tin, I think and the curry was just sublime. It was the same in a few of the police messes where they did Friday curry lunches. But I've not been able to get the same here in U.K.
I know you blokes from Oz know a thing or two about curry ( even though your cricket seems to be falling by the wayside!). If you can ignore that gratuitous but predictable jibe, please let me know the result of your others half's efforts;maybe I'm just doing it wrong.
    Thanks

Thing is....I was immediately NOURISHED by the thread, not re anything curry-related, but rather, because of the clear essence of the prinicpals posting within it.

Elegance, warmth, whimsy, acuity=Nourishment. At least, for me.

That....is a fact. I observe varying species of currencies....and varying species of nourishment!

While I will never have the level of esoteric haute gourmet re curry this thread reflects....I like curry. Sometimes, a dearth of sophistication is not a bad thing.;)
