Resolved no sound

Ok i did the system specifications.....now what do i do with all that info i just got? do i go there and download the driver i need?

 

and does it matter what country i download it from?

the p-rz ? does not show, I run a GA-8S661FXM-775 the driver should work, the driver download fron Win Update is incorrect for this board, the above link should take you to the download page, download & store thes drivers in a folder where you will find them easily,

Hi missa85, I have just a few days ago helped a friend with a similar problem no sound in XP.
First station was look in Device Manager > Sound if there are any yellow exclamation or Question marks there, if yes delete them and reboot.
I have found that XP audio drivers direct from Realtek are working just fine I downloaded them from here:

installed them and they are working just fine.

 

I did that and it took alot longer to download than the first one i downloaded...i have the realtek folder on my desktop....it has alot of things in it...what do i do from here??

Notice yours was from the TW site, I just used the gigabyte link that comes up here in Australia, missa'a board & mine are similar apart from CPU type 478/775.

Open the folder & double click on the setup Icon and follow the prompts, let us know when you get time
