    Hello,
When I try to empty the recycle bin , I get a message saying:

    Can't delete De4.

I find that the file files from E can,t be delete , but those from C and F can be deleted
    (my hard disk has three partitions : C , E and F )

    What's going on?

    Thanks a lot !
( Sorry for my poor english ! )

    G'Day "kwanami ",

Quick fix, try this 1st, if it does not delete or remove the file for you, post the result of this action.

    1. Download Killbox (click on Killbox to load the website and use the Download Kilbox link in the left margin) save the file and remember where you saved it.
    2. Then run it and follow the instructions to load the full path to the file including it's name, then use the "Standard File Kill" 1st
    3. If it does not remove the file, repeat the file / path loading and use the "Delete on reboot" option, once completed, re-boot
    4. After the system has rebooted, empty your recycle bin again which should now function normally.

The Recycle Bin on drive E is probably (I would say is) corrupt.
Try deleting the Recycler folder from the E: drive.

From a command prompt issue the following command:

    rd /s /q e:\recycler

Windows will recreate it when you reboot.

The file De4. means the 4th file deleted on drive E: ( D eleted e drive file 4 - the 4th file you deleted on that drive )
The Recycle Bin uses this information to keep track of deleted files and to restore them.

You do not need to be in Safe Mode to do this.
