    Hello-Ramona and all,
When I upgraded to current version of firefox....I couldn't log on to my online banking!!!
Chase says they don't support firefox!!! Ridiculous!!! It has always worked before the upgrade!! NOW-I'm forced to use IE....GRRRGGHH......
When will firefox fix this bug? Chase says it's just that a bug....

i used firefox 3.5.6 on the weekend at chase with no problems. i updated to 3.5.7 today and logged on to chase with no problems to test it after you said you couldn't. when a site says they do not support firefox, it doesn't mean that it won't work, it means that they do not provide tech support for it (all they know is IE). try clearing your cache. if no joy, delete your chase site cookies. go to tools>options>advanced>encryption>protocols and sure make sure SSL 3.0 and TLS 1.0 are checked.

Rather than Firefox I use SeaMonkey, another Mozilla program and Chase doesn't support it either, but I haven't had any trouble logging on to their site.

Same here. I never had a problem with Chase, and I did not know that they placed some restriction. It is, definitely, not a Firefox bug. May be we need some more info. Was it ok with previous Firefox versions? Upgraded from what to what, and how?

    reply

    hello---all
I had a terrible time logging in to reply!!! something is very wrong with firefox!!!
I've done all the things suggested,,,nothing helps....Chase will not allow me to log in...it assumes i'm a new user and forces an ID to establish my identity!!!
I never had this problem with 3.5 - I just upgraded to 3.7.
No new software installed...no add ons or new extensions,,,just the usual no script and robo form....
Some of the faqs in support mentioned user.agent extra??? should be reset....that option is grayed out, can't do it??
    Thanks / John in Dallas.

I, just, updated from 3.0.17 to 3.5.7. I have had no more trouble logging in to this site than before. It is nothing new. Although I have set to save the information, the mark is removed, immediately, but, all I need to do is to enter the first letter, and I am in business. This is the only site which does this, and it was reported by others.
As for Chase, it was an amusing situation. I was able to login, and I found out that I had a balance. I, also, found out that they tried to communicate by email, but could not. I did not go paperless, and I had received no snail mail communication.
I have not been been using the email address which they had for at least five years, and had a listing of a business phone number, but had been retired for seven years.
Somebody is not with it. And, it ain't me, as I use the card infrequently.
But, having the same version browser as you do, and being able to make account info changes, as well as online payment, I don't know what is the matter with your Firefox.
And, I don't understand where or if your reference, to about:config, fits.
I never had to mention the browser used. That's a mistake because whenever in doubt any tech support will blame the browser, when it is their problem. Call them, and ask to speak to a person about online logging in. If you provide, exactly, the same info, you should not be able to sign up for a different login combination.

    banking solved?

    Hello~All,
Solved the banking problem, I hope!!? Am using FF in safe mode or private browsing. That allows me access to Chase accounts...
Tried safe mode first - it worked...Then tried private browsing - it worked! Really strange behavior, isn't it?? I have NO new add-ons or extensions..
Hope this might help some one else, if they experience similar problems.
    John in Dallas.

Very strange. Anyway, I must thank you because I found out a number of errors on the part of Chase. I did not have to use safe mode, which disables all addons, nor Private Browsing.
